Job Description:
Solicitation: Develops and implements an effective strategy for solicitation of potential donors.

Researches and writes for grants and foundational gifts on a regular basis.

Develops, implements, and tracks campaigns for individual donors.

Seeks out partner churches willing to support CCC beyond attendance.

Designs and implements effective systems of solicitation such as mailings, emailings, online giving website, Gift Catalog, etc.


Fundraising: Carries chief administrative responsibility to coordinate fundraising efforts of CCC.

Establish yearly fundraising target amounts, and work to achieve those goals.

Coordinates annual charity fundraising events such as the Charity Ball and Golf Tournament, and establishes new events.

Works to increase the reach of our fundraisers, bringing in new contributors.


Communications & Public Relations: Develops strategies for increasing awareness of CCC among various publics and communities on a local, state, and national level.

Supervises the design and sending of regular newsletters, e-newsletters, and other informative correspondence.

Establishes media contacts prior to the summer, in order to bring awareness of the ministry to the communities serviced.

Establishes relationships with media outlets, both in the areas CCC serves, and in the hometowns of participating groups.

Provides support and material for groups to get recognition in local news media outlets in their home communities.

Maintains year-round correspondence with, setting up of, and visits to community contact agencies. Maintains a high level follow-up with these community contacts.


Volunteer Coordination: Develops a network of volunteers and staff alumni willing to support the ministry beyond camper/staff involvement and financial giving.

Connects alumni and volunteers with opportunities to assist administration (e.g. mailings) and summer staff (e.g. material deliveries, finishing up projects).

Creates special “Alumni-only” correspondence, newsletters, service projects, “mini-CCC” weekends, events, dinners, and reunions.


Other

Tracks the performance and effectiveness of all efforts related to fundraising, communications, and volunteer coordination.

Fulfills other tasks as deemed necessary by the Executive Director and/or Board of Directors.
